Congratulations to John Watson (Autoclenz SHEQ Manager) who recently attended an Adult MHFA course and is now the first Autoclenz Mental Health First Aider.

During the two-day course, John got a deep understanding of what mental health is and what factors can affect wellbeing. He also learnt new skills to spot the signs of mental illness and gain the confidence to step in and support a person who needs assistance.

For many of us, the easing of lockdown brings longed-for opportunities (even if at a social distance) – to see friends, play sports, resume contact with family in ‘real space’ or get back to work that we value.

But for many of us, even the happy, much anticipated changes can be difficult for our mental health, therefore, over the coming months, we will continue to focus on the emotional wellbeing of our colleagues and friends within the industry.
